The Wolf Trail Family Lodge is located in a secluded area on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, near the small town of Moose Pass, 100 miles south of Anchorage. We currently have two small cabins and one main house, which has three bedrooms and a rather large kitchen and dining area, where all meals are prepared. With several lakes within a short walking distance, fishing is great (as well as the hikes!). We like keeping with the old rustic look, but have most of the modern amenities inside the main house (such as dishwasher, washer, dryer, refrigerator, showers). NO outhouses here!
When the day comes that we offer some of the cabins for vacation rental, it will be very exclusive and private. What we have in mind is a "summer camp" for adults, who will hopefully become repeat guests every year. The beauty of this place, along with the privacy and the friendships that are made here, will make people want to return again and again. Unlike the bed & breakfasts of the world, our philosophy is NOT about making this a "profitable business". It's about seclusion from the rest of the world, the enjoyment of nature, the abundance of wild animals to see and photograph, and the camaraderie of a small group of people. Sharing these things with people from different walks of life and from different countries is exciting all by itself.
The privacy here is great! The laughs and good times are priceless! You can open
the front door to see bear and grazing moose, and then hop into a car and drive the
one and only road down to the ocean 30 minutes away, get into a private water taxi
and see orcas, whales, porpoises, sea lions, and otters. This is something that most
people will never experience first-
